From A Cub – Mission Statement
At From A Cub, our purpose is to mentor and empower youth by helping them build a strong foundation in sports. We use physical training and mental skills as tools for lifelong growth.
Our goal is to instill discipline, determination, and resilience that carry over into everyday life. We want every young athlete to see obstacles not as setbacks but as chances to grow, learn, and overcome.
Our mission is based on four guiding principles passed down to me by my mentors. These values shape my life, and I now share them with the next generation:
I’m grateful for the chance to serve as a building block in our community and help shape tomorrow’s leaders, one cub at a time.
What We Do
From A Cub Athletics trains young athletes in Gilbert, Arizona across multiple sports. Our work centers on four areas: foundational athlete development, speed and agility, strength and conditioning, and sports-specific skill development. Each one builds on the last, so an athlete learns to move well before learning to move fast, and learns to move fast before we ask them to perform under pressure.
Who We Train
We work with beginners taking on their first sport and with experienced competitors preparing for the next level. Sessions are built around the athlete in front of us rather than a fixed curriculum, because a young athlete learning footwork and a varsity player sharpening game speed need different things from the same hour. Football and basketball are our deepest areas, and we also field a 7v7 team.
How We Coach
Our coaches are mentors first. We hold athletes accountable, keep the environment positive rather than pressured, and track growth in ways an athlete can see for themselves. Confidence built through repetition outlasts confidence built through praise, so we put the work first and let the results speak.
